Something Simple

Hey Lovelies,

Back again with another post. Just like my outfit, this post will be sweet and simple. Now that I have lost weight, I think I look soo much better in dresses. Since my weight loss I went out and bought at least 15 dresses, most are inexpensive and just to give me something to throw on when I can't really find anything to wear.

I probably won't be displaying most of my throw on dresses on here, but I figured I would give you guys a taste of what I wear on just a random, visiting friends and family, running errands, day. I typically go everywhere and find them everywhere, they usually are less than $15 and are just soooo easy to make look cute (Just like my Drugstore Haul dress). I even found a few at Wal-mart for like $8!!!

These shoes lasted me all of two wears, they are sooo dirty now! I was thinking of doing a DIY with them, by painting the galaxy print on them. I am not sure yet, but I did love them and once I finally pulled them out I found several outfits I could wear with them. Sadly, they will only be a image in my head because white shoes and I have a love hate relationship.

Drugstore Haul Viddy

Hello Lovelies,
I am soooooo elated about posting my first YouTube video! I was going to wait and post it on here first, but my boyfriend texted all his friends the link. After he let the cat out of the bag I figured I would start spreading the word too. Soooo far, I have received the best advice, comments, love and support! I have an awesome circle.

Since I last posted, I have been super busy! No excuse and I refuse to make any excuses for my absence...

I really hope you love the video and feel free to comment on here, my instagram and/or the video. Below is the deets on the outfit I wore in the video and the video as well....

This outfit was really inexpensive, super cute, comfy and fun!
What's the details:
Dress: Ross (Brought it in two colors, I just love it) Shoes: Just Earl (Less than $20, SCORE!) Jewelry: Left on my dresser, I totally forgot to put it back on after I filmed.

Here is the video, I really hope you love it!!!

Until Next Time!

Mixing Prints...

Hello Lovelies,

I went to a family dinner, which happens every 1st Sunday of the month. I noticed that I don't always pick the best locations for photos. Welp, let's add that to my list. Along with not forgetting my camera, soooo I can stop taking pictures on my iPhone.

I love this outfit! It was comfy and cute. While I follow trends, as far as knowing what they are and all the upcoming season new trends, I don't pick my outfits around them or for the season's trend. However, I really wanted to mix prints to see if I could make it work and I did!

Random: It also hard for people who shop often to say they don't follow trends or wear trendy items, because most stores put the lastest trends on their shelves. (Just a random thought.)

These shoes were all the rage for the older generation. They said it reminded them of the huge platform shoes from the 70s. They weren't sure if they liked them or not, but I love them!! I think it all depends on how you style them. I am going to try to wear them when it gets a little warmer with some black knee high socks, denim shorts and a white boyfriend t-shirt. I will blog it, if I do.

No Lines!

Hello Lovelies,

Soooo I totally forgot that I had to renew my car registration. I know terrible, right? I had to have it by Monday, but I had to work. Soooo I had no idea what I should do, then my boyfriend said maybe the kiosk would still be open. He was right!! The kiosks are open 24 hours a day, who would think that the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) would make life that easy.

Anywho, I figured I would do a little Outfit of the Day (OOTD) in the parking lot.

The Labels:

The purse I'm wearing came out of a Viva La Juicy Gift basket the mister bought me. (I wish I had the picture but my iPhone deleted almost of my pictures and I have no idea how or why, but hey no biggie.)

Thanks for checking out another OOTD!

My former boss and his boyfriends, were moving to Kansas. Hence the Wizard of Oz themed party:) Loved it! Love them! Here are pictures of the party and my outfit choice!

Best Co-Workers EVER!!

My Outfit is mostly Forever:)

The theme was well done through out, it should being that they work for an event/wedding planning company. Hahah

I ate these cookies ALL night, they were sooooo great!

Well hope you enjoyed loves! Sorry for the delay... I'll be back with a new outfit of the day shortly:)

Oh do you see the hair growth!!!

Bountiful Baskets!

Sooo the ladies I work with, always talk about this thing called Bountiful Basket and how good everything was to eat. I slowly started to wonder what this "bountiful basket" was because everyone in the office was now on the bountiful basket train ride. Well, I finally asked! What is bountiful basket? They directed me to a website http://bountifulbaskets.org/.

As started to read the website, I started to become unsure for a number of reasons:
-You don't know what will come in you basket
-You only have 20 minutes to pick up your basket from the time your site opens or it will be donated (My site time was 7:30am on a Saturday:/)
-I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it

Well I figured I would try it!

I loved it! Even waking up to get my basket wasn't that bad. I wish I would had taken pictures of the set-up, but it was my first time and I didn't know how the process worked.

Well our basket contained:

-Fennel
-A Head of Cabbage
-Heads of Broccoli
-Watermelon
-Blackberries
-Tomatoes
-Apples
-Bananas
-Red Peppers

I believe that finishes the list... I will try to post pictures of me playing Susie Homemaker and cooking with these items:)

If you want to know more go to their website. It was ONLY $20 for the first time and like $16 every basket after. I would say this was WAY worth it.

Birthday Goals and Midriff Dreams!

Sooooo this is a life and style blog... Sooo here is some life for you guys. Here is my birthday goal:

To wear this outfit and kill it!

This is a picture from fashionbananas.blogspot.com... Love her! She has a killer body and great style. We have TOTALLY different body shapes. I have a very athletic build, maybe from all those years of cheer.

Anywho, my birthday is June 12th and I plan on rocking something very similar to this outfit! You know I love to layer, sooo I'm probably will add a vest or a blazer... Who knows...

Here is my plan of attack:

~Start hitting the gym at least 3x's a week...
~Cut out fast food (I am trying to go no more than 2xs a week)
~Watch my calorie intake
~Detox (Drink LOTS of water)
~Lots of Crunches (Start out at 20 a night and work my way up)

I should be in shape and my body should be looking soooo great well before my birthday, but this gives me some cushion time:)

Ready, set, let's work!

A Ganster Love Story

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Sooo, I read Sister Soulja's previous book "The Coldest Winter Ever." I loved it!!! Literally, I was engulfed in every page, could not put it down.

It hands down became my favorite book ever, beside "The Skin I'm In" which I may talk about the impact of that book in another blog. (Depending on if you guys like the life post or not.) Anywho, I am DRAGGING through "Midnight." The story line is a bit far fetched and I grasp the idea she was trying to convey, I just wish she had thought of a different way to illustrate it.

I was wrapped up in the first few chapters, I love finding out about his wife being kidnapped, him fighting the temptation of other women and his devotation to his family and religion. However, as the story unfolds it gets more convoluted because you start learn that his wife can barely speak any English but somehow their love breaks through all barriers.

Anywho, as I slowly force myself to finish the rest of the book, I have faith that the book will get better...

If you have read it, give me your feedback. I would love to know if you thought the ideas were a bit far fetched as well.
